ONE OF HEREFORDSHIRE’S  GARDEN JEMS’

We began creating a very special and natural garden in 2012 although we saw the potential here long before moving here. The previous owners who planted the vineyard in the 1980’s were not gardeners but loved specimen trees and today we have the benefit of many established trees complimenting the planting.

We opened the gardens for the National Garden Scheme, NGS, for over 30 years raising money for the many worthwhile charities- dates we will be open as part of the NGS scheme are at the bottom of the page.

The Garden

The Garden features terraces, a woodland walk with spring bulbs and wildflower meadow, a large pond and stream garden with masses of Primula, Hostas, Hellebores, Hamamelis and Parottia. Snowdrops in January and February are breath taking!

Evening visits to the garden

Enjoy a Summer evening wander the garden and follow on with a glass or bottle of wine (from three of our varieties), then choose a glass of your preferred to have with nibbles, 6 till 9, £20 per person. Find out more about visiting the vineyard and garden.

Group visits to the garden

We also welcome pre-arranged gardening or artist group visitors (minimum 10 persons) to our beautiful garden from May until September. It’s an inspiring relaxing atmosphere to wander for a couple of hours and many often return. The varied planting ensures plenty of interest from Spring to Autumn.

Typically, visits include a local Artist club visit for a 6 hour landscape painting session with tea/coffee and cake.

Garden clubs may visit for a light lunch followed by tea/coffee and cake.
